  7. TruFax enables UNIX computers to send and receive fax messages.  Up to 10
  8. fax-modems can be connected to serial ports.  These lines may also be used for
  9. traditional data communications (Login, uucp etc.), i.e.  they do double duty.
  10. TruFax features HP LaserJet Series II emulation for creating outgoing fax
  11. messages.  This means that remote fax machines appear as laser printers to
  12. users and applications programs.  There is also support for Chinon DS-3000
  13. scanners, enabling users to capture and fax images from paper.  Arriving faxes
  14. may be printed on laser or matrix printers, or may be viewed with Sunview or
  15. X.11.  The package includes utilities for manipulating fax images and
  16. converting to and from TIFF.  TruFax can share images with many other
  17. applications which support TIFF.
